All Deane fabrics are tested to company standards using an independent testing laboratory before they’re approved for further development. Our testing covers a range of areas from colourfastness and abrasion to shrinkage, pilling and seam slippage.

Laboratory testing is supported by wearer trials to truly test the environmental stresses a fabric needs to withstand.

A product specification is created for all products carrying the Deane brand and are built by our local Product Team. Our product specification details every aspect of the garment from the sizing grades, colour tolerance and embroidery position to stitch weight, folding instructions and packaging details.

This means all aspects of the garment from the thread quality to the packaging are controlled and consistent across multiple production runs ensuring consistent quality, year in-year out.

All Deane garments are subject to the same quality check points over the production timeline. Samples from each production run will be checked against specification several times before they go into bulk production, as well as during and after production with a check of shipping samples before the shipment is freighted. On arrival into our warehouse, there is a final check before the stock is approved for holding.
